Fifteen wonderful beaches stretch along the 150 kilometre length of the coastline which is bounded by the river mouths of the Guadiana and Guadalquivir, with the safest and cleanest beaches just 2 kilometres away from the villa. Whatever atmosphere you prefer - lively and well-serviced, or wild and solitary, the common denominators of this amazing area are dunes, pine groves, clean waters and golden sands. And it's those fine sands which distinguish the area between Isla Canela and Punta del Moral - a stretch of 7 kilometres. It's finer and a more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol. The nearby town of Ayamonte, is certainly one of the hidden gems of the Costa de la luz coastline and was once just a small fishing village on the outer extremities of Spain. The centre is packed with atmosphere all day and into the evening. The narrow cobbled streets are full of restaurants and cafes offering a vast choice of local specialties and British fare. With many bars, shops and boutiques, the town is lively all year round. Golfers will also feel welcome with the renowned 27 holes of Islantilla Golf Course just minutes away. The town also has a picturesque marina which is lined with palm trees, and a port where you can catch the ferry to Villa Real, the Portuguese town on the opposite shore.
